The Alpine Downtown Association through organization, promotion and community involvement, will maintain a strong, focused and viable organization to foster an environment for new investment and business success. To that end, we will promote tourism and the arts community while preserving, protecting and enhancing the unique and historic character of the core downtown district.

The Alpine Business Alliance is actively working with the City of Alpine to improve our core business district for visitors and citizens alike by creating an aesthetically pleasing economic environment. We have contributed to the revitalization of the Railroad Park and improvements to the Alpine Depot, places of “first impression” for the many who visit here.

Alpine Historical Association Honors Art History at Museum of the Big Bend.
On Thursday September 1st, history enthusiasts and art lovers attended the Edward S. Curtis Exhibit at the Museum of the Big Bend. Local historian Matt Walter educated and entertained the crowd on the vibrant past events from the last frontier. Museum of the Big Bend's next big exhibit will be Trappings of Texas and will feature art and western custom cowboy gear from cattle men and women living in the heart of west Texas. The quarterly Business and Non-Profit Mixing event at the Granada Theatre: A big success!
On Wednesday August 17th at 5:30pm Benjamin Garcia, introduced the revitalized presence of downtown's Saddle Club and Granada Theatre. Friends, businesses and non-profits in the area celebrated with fine brews and cider provided by Chisos brewery and said "cheers" to the newest member of our business community! The Businesses and Non-Profit mixing events bring people together from across the Big Bend to celebrate new members of our business and non-profit community. Viva Big Bend hits big with live music at the 06 Cowboys baseball game.
Mitch Webb & The Swindles entertained the crowd in Kokernot Field after an exciting home game win for the 06 Cowboys over the Austin Weirdos. This is an iconic ballpark with amazing views, and it's one of the coolest things to do while you're visiting far West Texas!
Viva Big Bend showcases the best of the state: extraordinary natural beauty, remarkable and talented people, an independent spirit and an amazing culture. Alpine Honors Texas Art and Music with Mural Dedication
Cleburne artist Stylle Read unveiled his work July 30 on the newest of his many murals around Alpine. This one is on the back wall of Printco, facing north. ArtWalk had a formal dedication ceremony along with a barbeque and street fair on Murphy Street, sponsored by Big Bend Telephone. But weather slowed the work and it was not completed in time for the dedication. When finished, it will portray 60 classic Texas musicians in a layout inspired by the Beatles’ Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. Read has painted more than seven murals around Alpine including two of the first at the corner of Holland Avenue and 5th Street. More of Stylle's projects can be found at Stylleread.com
Keep Alpine Beautiful and the ADA Helps in Clean-Up Efforts.
Members of the ADA took part in a city-wide cleanup Saturday, July 24, to spruce up the city for Viva Big Bend. The city Environmental Services Department and its director Adelina Beall called for volunteers to show up at Railroad Park at 9 a.m. Saturday and about ten did show up, including ADA members Heather Yadon, Darren Nance, Conley Rasor and Jim Street. It was sponsored by Keep Alpine Beautiful, McDonald’s and Porters in partnership with the ADA. The Tenth Annual Viva will be July 28 to August 1, bringing live music to venues throughout the Tri-County Area with more than 60 shows in Marfa, Alpine, Marathon, Fort Davis and Terlingua.
